About Me

I fell in love with massage when I was 17 after completing a short course in massage and aromatherapy. A year later I started University studying dance; during my dance training I realised the importance of taking care of my body in order to prevent injury but also for my own sense of well being.

After University, life took me on a fun journey which included: working in schools; completing a Masters Degree in Movement Psychotherapy; travel to many different countries; work with young carers, adults with mental health problems, and teenagers with Autism, learning disabilities and physical disabilties; voluntary work at a youth counselling centre in Kenya; six months living in Italy; a move to Greenwich; and a wedding (mine!).

Then life came full circle when I realised that the love for massage that began when I was 17 had always been there waiting to be explored, and so in 2012 I re-trained in massage therapy. I soon discovered the satisfaction of being able to soothe aching/painful bodies.

After completing further training I began offering massages to NCT (mum and baby) groups. I loved being able to provide new mums a chance to re-connect with their bodies, post pregnancy and birth, and ease the aches and pains that come with constantly carrying round a little bundle of joy!

Then rather wonderfully in 2014 I had my own baby girl and embarked on a new journey of motherhood with all its delights and challenges. I realised more than ever how important it is to find that moment of calm for myself and to take care of my body which had carried, nurtured, birthed, and now fed my precious daughter. Now with a little person to chase in the park, I need my body to be ache free and to find those fleeting moments of relaxation more than ever!

When I had my daughter one of the first things I wanted to give her was massage, because I knew of the many benefits it would provide her. I attended a Baby Massage course and I fell in love immediately. Baby Massage provided the opportunity to bond with my daughter in such a special way. I massaged her every night and treasure the special bond we created during that time. I realised very quickly that I wanted to share this gift with other parents, so as soon as my daughter was old enough I trained to become a Baby Massage Instructor.

I am so passionate about baby massage and how it provides parents the wonderful opportunity to share special time with their baby and further develop the bond between them. Being able to communicate your love to your baby gives them the best start to life, and this is why I love my job!
